Our Villager Guide will explain to you about how they use the Rainforest as thier Supermarket. You will learn about medicinal Plant like Brunei's "Ginseng", edible wild jungle fruit,vegetable & even shampoo make from leaves! facial herbs and more.... After this trip you will definitely be more confident on survival in the Rainforest

River trekking along Motong River, some part of the river you can take a dip to chill out!

An excellent place for family. Children as yound as 4-5 years old can come along. Great fun for a group of friends or Company staff.

Out from Jungle trekking, go for traditional rafting( only for Group of 10 above), In the early days before outboat engine, all Iban use wooden raft to travel along the river, today you can have a experience of the Traditional raft. Fun and need some skill if you want to go faster or just relax and let the River current do the job. Eventually you will reach Sumbiling Eco Village

Recharge yourself for a day. Get away from your routine office, school or house work for an outdoor soft adventure at Sumbiling Eco Village- The latest Eco Tourism destination located at the Heart of Borneo, Temburong.

Meet at Kianggeh jetty at Jalan Residency, Bandar Seri Begawan. Depart for an exciting 45 minutes water taxi boat ride, cutting through River Channel lined with pristine mangrove to Bangar town, Temburong. Brief toilet stop & last minutes shopping. Then by van or bus to Sumbiling eco Village. Arrive with welcome morning tea & light snack. Once ready, cross the Temburong River by Temuai- Longboat. Trek into simpur & bamboo forest. Explorer the forest with villager to learn the wonder of Rainforest as a supermarket to the villager who live nearby. Search for edible fruit & herb like wild local ginseng & medicinal plant.

Follow up with your adventure of crossing the Motong River, river trek and floating down Motong River or Temburong River by traditional raft or rubber tube Back to Sumbiling Eco Village for freshen up and enjoy a delicious bamboo chicken lunch. Relax & photo session before overland back to Bangar and onward by water taxi boat back to Bandar Seri Begawan with fond memories of Sumbiling Eco village.

Brief itinerary:

0730am Meeting at Kianggeh jetty and by water Taxi boat 45 minutes to Bangar town, Temburong

0900am Transfer overland to Sumbiling Eco Village.

0945am Start Sumbiling Motong adventure activities, jungle trekking, river crossing, Traditional raft

1300 pm Back to Sumbiling Eco village for lunch & freshen up.

1500pm depart back to Bangar and onward by speed boat back to Bandar Seri Begawan

1700pm Arrive back to Bandar Seri Begawan with fond memories of Sumbiling Motong Adventure.

Tour Includes: Return transfer from Bangar to Sumbiling Eco Village, jungle trekking, medicinal guiding trek, river trekking, river floating, breakfast, lunch, free flow of tea at SEV, all activities mentioned above. (Bamboo rafting can be organise if more than 10 person per group).

What to expect :

As an outdoor trip, itinerary and times indicated are subject to change without notice, as trips may be affected by rain, heat, high or low water levels in the river. clean modern toilet and shower. Meals will be local cook local style consists of Chicken, Fish & vegetable. Hot water will be available for coffee or tea at Sumbiling Eco village.

Recommended to wear & bring :

Light, easy to dry shorts & t shirts during trekking, light trekking shoes with good grip, a favourite cap to cover your head, face towel for those who sweat a lot. Bring Light rucksack, changes of clothes, sun lotion, hat, raincoat, camera, binoculars (only if you are bird watcher), small towel for the walk, towel + toiletries, swimsuit, insect repellent- non aerosol type, tiger balm will do. A change of clothes and towel for use on return to Sumbiling Eco village.

Some snacks like energy bars e.g. mixed fruit bars, chocolate, sweets and drinks (any isotonic drink or packets of oral rehydration salts) in case you get hungry and thirsty en route.

Detail Itinerary:

0730hr Meet at Kianggeh jetty at jalan Residency.( registration)

0800hr- Depart by boat to Bangar town, Temburong ( 45 minutes boat ride)

0830hr

00915hr Arrived at Bangar Town jetty and 15 minutes toilet stop or proceed Temburong Tourist Information centre.

0930hr Depart to Sumbiling Eco Village- SEV ( 20minutes bus ride)

0955hr Arrive at Sumbiling Eco Village- SEV car park ( need 5 minutes village walk to SEV site)

1000hr Arrive at SEV site with welcome hot tea & light refreshment ( 20 minutes)

1030hr Depart in smaller group of 10 per group to Motong Heart od Borneo Biodiversity jungle trail. 02 villagers(01English speaking) local guide+01 accompany teacher per group of 10 student. Student learn about Rainforest biodiversity and how local villager use the forest for medicine and food for thier diary live. ( 2 hours)

1230hr Trek out of jungle and proceed for lunch at SEV. ( 45 minutes)

1330hr Proceed by longboat to pulau Buah 500meter from SEV ( Fruit garden to start Traditional Rafting down part of Temburong River back to SEV. Student will learn about river safety & Iban traditional way of life in the river. Life vest will be provided to all participant. ( Traditional rafting will be done only subject to river condition permit. ( Alternatively if River condition not permit, Student will visit Iban Longhouse to learn about thier culture & heritage more in depth.).

1430hr Back to SEV, freshen up, pack up , group photo and get ready to depart SEV

1500hr Depart SEV to bus ( 5 minutes)

1530hr Arrive at Bangar Town jetty.( 30 minutes last minutes shopping for local produce or handicraft

1600hr Depart Bangar town jetty by Boat (45 minutes) back to Bandar Seri Begawan.

1645hr Arrive at Bandar Seri Begawan with fond memories of Green holiday at Sumbiling Eco Village. End.
