Description

Journey begins with an exciting river cruise from Bandar Seri Begawan to Bangar. Beginning the River Cruise takes us on the Brunei River passing through the famous Water Village known as the “Venice of the East” by early European. Boat cutting through River channel lined with dense mangrove rainforest and Nipal Palm same vegetation as those found in Amazon River.



Meet and greet by local guide at Bangar Jetty and transfer overland to Sumbiling Eco Village for Morning Tea. Sumbiling Eco Village is an Eco tourism project where local Community of Temburong is involved especially those from Kampong Sumbiling Lama & Batang Duri. It is situated by a calm beautiful Temburong River bank surrounded by rainforest & local exotic fruit trees. Facilities available are traditional Iban huts, jungle herbs trail, camp site, modern clean toilets & changing rooms. Later cross the Temburong River by Temuai and take a gentle Eco Trek into Mutong River, along the way learn jungle wild edible fruit and many other knowledge on rainforest, Enjoy a River trek along the pristine  Mutong river which cover by rainforest canopy. A nature paradise for you to discover!

 There after retreat back to Sumbiling eco village for lunch. Relax or take a dip by the Temburong River (subject to river condition) or participate in our activities. Nearing the end of our Eco-adventure, travel overland back to Bangar town, where a boat will be waiting to bring you on an exciting river cruise back to Bandar Seri Begawan with fond memories of Temburong.       Tour End                                                                                           

 

Itinerary

 

07:30am          Meet at Bandar Jetty, Bandar Seri Begawan

08:00am          Depart via Boat to Bangar, Temburong

09:00am          Arrive at Bangar, Temburong

09:10am          Depart via Bus to Sumbiling Eco Village

09:40am          Arrive at Sumbiling Eco Village  Morning Tea

10:00am          Briefing by guide before crossing the Temburong river by Temuai

                        Begin jungle trek through open Heart of Borneo Reforestation project. During trek, learn how the local villager use the forest as their supermarket!. Our trek will include trek into “Simpur forest”, “Bamboo Forest” “Wild fruit forest”, “Herb forest” and finally to Mutong River

Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mutong River covered by Rainforest canopy

10:45 am         Reach our jungle base camp for a break.

11:00 am         Start trekking back via the Mutong Stream, Expect to get real wet!  Use your  life vest to float down part of the Pristine Mutong River, some part is covered with forest canopy

12:30pm          Reach back to Sumbiling Eco Village for Lunch and fresher up

14:30 pm         Depart for Bangar, for water taxi back to Kianggeh jetty , BSB

16:30 pm         Arrive at Kianggeh Jetty, Bandar Seri Begawan

As an outdoor trip, itinerary and times indicated is subject to change without notice, as trip may be affected by rain, heat, high or low water level in the river.

 

Be expected to have more adventure during low water level as there may be additional activities.

 

Insurance are highly recommended as this is an Eco - Adventure tour.

 

Recommended to wear      : 

Shorts, swimsuit cover with T – Shirt during trekking, good pair of walking shoes with a good  grip for walking on slippery river stone & jungle

 

What to Bring    :

Rucksack, a change of clothes,towel, extra pair of shoes or sandals, sun lotion, hat, raincoat, camera, binoculars, Small towel for the walk, Towel + toiletries , Swimsuit , Insect repellent, Some snacks and drinks in case you get hungry and thirsty enroute.
